Pricing FAQ

Is there a free trial?
Yes — the Starter plan is free forever for 1 study and up to 25 participants. For Core and Professional, we offer a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start the trial. After 14 days, you'll be prompted to enter payment details to continue.
How does billing work?
Billing is handled securely via Stripe. You can choose monthly or annual billing — annual plans save 20%. Your card is charged on the same day each month (or year). You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Does CertiTrial™ support HIPAA compliance?
Yes. Core, Professional, and Enterprise plans include a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Production data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform, which offers HIPAA-eligible services under a BAA. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Audit logs are immutable and 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.
Can I use CertiTrial™ for an NIH-funded grant?
Absolutely. CertiTrial™ is specifically designed for NIH-funded diversity-focused trials. The Core plan and above include the Grant Reporting Autopilot (NIH Table 5A/5B, CONSORT flow, RPPR export), live NIH RePORTER API integration, and equity enrollment analytics. We recommend the Professional plan for multi-site R01/R01 equivalent studies.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. Enterprise plans can also be invoiced via ACH / bank transfer or institutional purchase order. We accept NIH funding accounts for eligible institutions.
Is there a discount for community health centers or HBCUs?
Yes. We offer a 40% discount for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and other Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs). Contact us at equity@trialnexus.io with your institution type and NIH award number to apply.
Can I export my data if I cancel?
Yes. You have 90 days after cancellation to export all your data as CSV, JSON, or CDISC-formatted files. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted per our data retention policy. Enterprise plans can negotiate custom data retention agreements.
What is the GitHub + Genspark deployment model?
CertiTrial™ is deployed as a static SPA from GitHub to Genspark (or any static host). The frontend code lives in a GitHub repository. When you push to main, Genspark (or a CI/CD pipeline via GitHub Actions) automatically deploys the latest version. The backend (Firebase Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions for Stripe webhooks) is managed separately via Firebase Console. The platform is built on Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions) and deployed as a static SPA.
